Tips for Video Conferencing |
|
Site IdentificationIt is good practice to have a clear, visual identifier for each site in a multi-user conference. This can be as simple as a large-print sign on the desk in front of the participant. Badges or crests are also a possibility, but these can be a little too complex and detailled for video conferencing cameras to show clearly. The obvious advantage of a sign is that it helps remind the participants of a conference who is speaking. There are also practical advantages that a sign offers an area of the picture that is constant (which helps maintain a good quality video picture generally) and can also be used to shield papers and other table-top accessories from the camera.
