There are four key components of a video conferencing set-up. These are:

  • Video Input – This is normally a camerea
  • Audio Input – This is normally a microphone
  • Video Output – This might be a PC screen or a projector
  • Audio Output – This is normally a set of speakers

Varying each of these components affects the video conferencing experience. For example using a large projector in a hall or lecture theatre allows many students to view a conference.
