What is video conferencing? |
|
|
Video conferencing is the process of using a camera and microphone to send images and sound across a network in real time. This allows two or more people to communicate and collaborate; to share lessons; discuss ideas and hear foreign languages from native speakers in their home countries. It is possible to use the same process, with just a microphone and speakers to create audio conferences. What is it actually like? This site contains some example recorded conferences. Once you have seen what video conferencing is like, and are interested in moving it forward, a good next step is to talk to your Local Authority to get hands-on experience with using equipment "live".
