Managing Sound
Often in a videoconference, sound will need to be captured from a single source (the microphone), across a large space (a classroom or hall).

Tips for Good Sound
- Rehearse who will speak, when they will speak and where they will speak from. This may be a pupil walking up to the microphone to speak, or pupils arranged equidistant from the microphone.
- Practice muting the microphone and deciding how you keep track of when the microphone is muted and when it is active. (This can often be detected as a symbol on the screen, or a light on the microphone).
- Avoid lots of extraneous noise, or more than one person speaking at once.
- Consider using different microphones for different purposes (roving wireless microphone, head microphone, table conference phone)
