Education Image Gallery provides instant access to a unique and exciting collection of 50,000 images. An Education Image Gallery license has been purchased by WMnet until July 2009 for all schools in the West Midlands. Anyone who accesses the Education Image Gallery from a West Midlands school or approved local authority computer will be able to view and download the fantastic range of images - free.

Education Image Gallery offers a wide variety of images, covering key historical events and multiple subject areas from the 19th century to the present and is therefore relevant to the teaching, learning and coursework requirements across the curriculum but is of particular interest to the History, English, Politics, Citizenship, Economics, Sociology, Geography, Biology, Physics and Chemistry departments.

The images are available for downloading in screen-resolution format. As the images are copyright-cleared, they are free to download for (appropriately credited) use in learning, teaching. Any images incorporated into learning and teaching materials can continue to be used even after the current sub-licence expires in July 2009.
